Rev. Kathy Swain was ordained as an Episcopal Transitional Deacon in 2018 and Ordained as an Episcopal Priest in 2019. Mother Kathy has been serving at Grace Episcopal Church in Winfield, KS and at Trinity Episocopal Church, Arkansas City since her ordination.
Reverend Kathy is active in the Ministerial Alliance of both Winfield and Arkansas City, as well as the Habitat for Humanity in Winfield.
Reverend Kathy has three grown children and seven grandchildren.
Reverend Kathy’s favorite part of being a priest is to help all of God’s children when needed.
Deacon Karen Deal was ordained as an Episcopal Deacon in 2020 just before covid shut down most businesses and places of worship. Deacon Karen served her internship at St. Andrews Episcopal in Derby, Kansas and at Trinity Episcopal in Arkansas City. Deacon Karen is currently serving at Grace Episcopal and Trinity Epsicopal along with Rev. Kathy Swain.
Deacon Karen’s favorite part of being a deacon is being able to serve her congregants and communities with a Christ-like attitude. She also enjoys the challenges of keeping the electronics working to serve the mission of the church.
